A few days ago we heard from Camden that they had chosen our proposal to look after the open space at the top of Barker Drive park. We thought that was the big news of the autumn… It wasn’t:

This past Tuesday, the Camley Street Community Fund awarded us £3,000 to kickstart the project!

We weren’t the only ones hoping. 49 projects applied in this first round, asking for more than £220,000 between them. 23 were shortlisted, and a steering group of local residents and community representatives voted on them. Ours made the cut. A big thank you to everyone who sent a photo for our video pitch. Your faces clearly did the persuading!

As a reminder, we’re meeting on Tuesday 27 October at 7pm at The Golden Lion, 88 Royal College Street, to toast the good news and form the steering committee. Everyone is welcome, whether you want to get involved or just want to find out more.
