The rain held off for just long enough and the Big Lunch went on, very successfully indeed – with lots of thanks due to David and Harriet Powell and all their helpers for their hard work. Loads of Elm Villagers turned out for a veritable feast and chit chat. We even had a visit from our Police Safer Neighbourhoods team (one of them had a particularly hearty appetite – no names mentioned). Let’s look forward to another such occasion.
