There have been a number of meetings with Places for People involving Evtra committee and volunteers. There has also been extensive e-mail correspondence with PfP management. The essence of these efforts by Evtra has been to hold PfP to account over the use of the rental fees used for the redecorations of the estate and the reconstruction of the retaining wall on Rossendale Way. The decoration firm Novus has also been party to these discussions.
We are now seeing improvements in the quality of the work, though this is coming at extra expense that will be borne by rent-paying residents. Evtra is also lobbying PfP about the request for proposal process, and subsequent awarding of contract to only one bidder, regarding the retaining wall (which is a massive cost relative to the size of the maintenance budget).
