The Evtra Big Lunch on 14th June was a resounding success. No official count, but there were easily 60 residents in attendance. After a slow, overcast start, the sun came out (albeit briefly) and the canal terrace was buzzing with the sound of lively conversation and, of course, bees. The food spread was amazing – lots of home prepared goodies and plenty to eat. Thanks to everyone who came and the volunteers who made this our best Big Lunch.
Hosted by our neighbours Alara Foods and the Camley Street businesses. Elm Village residents are enthusiastically invited to this free event. People are still talking about last year’s Wassail, so this is not to be missed. More information.
Evtra holds its AGM on Monday, 30th June 7pm – 8pm in the Constitution cellar bar. This is an opportunity for residents to meet and discuss Elm Village and Places for People. There will be updates about PfP plans, neighbourhood planning, community events and safety. All residents in the Evtra area are encouraged to attend. If you would like to volunteer a little time each year to help our community, we will be accepting nominations to the volunteer committee.
Last year was great fun in the sun. Lot’s of conversation and lovely food. It’s what makes Elm Village a great place to live.
We’ve added a couple of photo albums from our two Christmas events: the Family Celebration and Carols at the Con in December 2013.
